The committee's posted instructions require documents and the completed application by September 30, 2026. For someone pursuing the inside-wireman pathway, the practical implication is to begin before the final day rather than treat the deadline as the time to start gathering records.

The training programs are jointly sponsored by the National Electrical Contractors Association and IBEW Local 68. This intake offers an application window for an established industry-and-labor training pathway; submitting an application does not secure admission or employment.

Prepare the documents before the online form

The inside-wireman instructions list several records for review. Applicants should use the committee's application page and applicant FAQ together, particularly when checking which graduation documents are acceptable.

• Identification: Gather a valid driver's license and a second identification document.
• Education records: Prepare graduation documentation that meets the committee's instructions.
• Military records: Include a DD-214 if applicable.
• Application time and payment: Plan for a $35 nonrefundable fee. The FAQ specifies credit-card payment and recommends allowing at least an hour to complete the online application.

The order matters: document submission comes first, followed by review and approval, then the online application instructions. The posted instructions do not clearly establish how that allowance applies to someone completing the initial application near September 30.

Check whether the schedule and travel fit

The committee describes the inside-wireman apprenticeship as a four-year program combining contractor-assigned on-the-job training with coursework. According to its program page, work usually follows a 40-hour week, while classes usually meet two evenings a week, with some Saturday sessions. Those descriptions should inform planning; they do not guarantee the same weekly hours for every apprentice.

Travel is another part of the decision. Although the committee lists its office at 5610 Logan Street in Denver, the applicant FAQ says assignments may be anywhere within its jurisdiction and applicants must be willing to travel. A Denver office address should not be read as a promise of a Denver-only worksite.

For prospective applicants, that makes transportation and availability for evening or Saturday classes useful questions to consider alongside the paperwork. Those who cannot complete this intake have a specific next date to plan around: the committee's notice says applications will reopen February 1, 2027.
